תנ״ך אויף מלכים ב 25:4

וַתִּבָּקַ֣ע הָעִ֗יר וְכָל־אַנְשֵׁ֨י הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה ׀ הַלַּ֙יְלָה֙ דֶּ֜רֶךְ שַׁ֣עַר ׀ בֵּ֣ין הַחֹמֹתַ֗יִם אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־גַּ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְכַשְׂדִּ֥ים עַל־הָעִ֖יר סָבִ֑יב וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ דֶּ֥רֶךְ הָעֲרָבָֽה׃

און די שטאָט איז אײַנגעבראָכן געװאָרן, און אַלע מלחמה-לײַט [זײַנען אַנטלאָפֿן] בײַ נאַכט דורך דעם טױער צװישן די צװײ מױערן װאָס בײַם מלכס גאָרטן- און די כַּשׂדים זײַנען געװען רונד אַרום דער שטאָט- און [דער מלך] איז אַװעק מיטן װעג פֿון פּלױן.

Lamentations

The breath of our nostrils, the anointed of the L-rd [(King Yoshiyahu, viz. II Chronicles 35:25)] was caught in their pits — he of whom we said: Under his [(protective)] shadow shall we live among the nations.
